LEARN TO DIVE - Open Water course Internationally recognised qualification!

We pride ourselves in taking our open water students into the real environment for their final qualification dives, in and around the Maritime Conservation Zone (MCZ) in Pembrokeshire between April & October. You'll see a wide range of sealife whilst having heaps of fun along the way. You'll also enjoy a year's dive club membership where you'll get to continue to dive & thrive with us amongst our many club members from all backgrounds with many various diving interests & skills, even if you don't have your own equipment!

We run two options for your course: Either minimum of 5 weekly pool sessions in Swansea on a Thursday evening followed by a weekend in open water in Pembrokeshire or a condensed four day course in Pembrokeshire. Our four day condensed course is conducted in summer months only, and the dates for that will be Wed 30th July - Sunday 3rd August '25 with a spare day on the Friday.

Alternatively, if you wish to conduct the course in the Swansea area on Thursday evenings over 6-7 weeks then we offer that too. Our next course will assemble at the end of April/early May and we will be going to Pembrokeshire for the weekend early in July for the qualification dives.

Once you've successfully completed your course you will be given the RAID Open Water 20 qualification which is equivalent and equally recognised and interchangeable with other recognised training agencies such as SSI, PADI, NAUI, CMAS etc.

You will be given online access to your course materials, FREE access for LIFE including regular updates. You can download and print them whilst enjoying free access to all scuba course materials from entry level to instructor/cave diver or technical. You'll work through the relevant sections of your materials concurrent with your weekly pool sessions or before/during the first two days of your 4/5 day condensed course.

We try to qualify our divers in the real environment, we can use Gower for day 1 of the open water phase but we find the diving to be much better & around the Skomer Maritime Conservation Zone in Pembrokehsire with a vast array of sea life to be seen whilst you put into practice what you learned in the confined phase, it really is FUN!

Don't take our word for it, below one of our reviews from last year's (2024) dive season -

Whether you're looking to try for the first time, get certification or just visting the area and need a guide, this club is THE place to ask. I just completed my open water training with them and cannot praise this club highly enough. Everyone.. and I mean EVERYONE in the club is incredibly welcoming and supportive. They have a real passion to create a pathway that helps others discover the joy and beauty of life underwater, adapting to the needs of each person as required.
The teaching is clear, the instructors attentive and skilled at helping you develop and improve your skills as well as helping you overcome any nervousness. Furthermore, now I've passed my first course, the club offers loads of additional ways for me to progress and enjoy these new skills. Don't put it off for 35 years like I did! If your curious then drop them a message and see where it leads.
