Rescue Divers now learn to look beyond themselves and to consider the safety and well-being of other divers and respond accordingly should a situation arise. The course introduces the necessary skills required in the unlikely event of a diving accident and builds your confidence providing you with valuable experience in emergency management. You will learn to deal with tired, panicked and unresponsive divers and learn in water resuscitation and egress techniques along with first aid and CPR skills.

Pre-Requisites

Advanced Open Water diver (or equivalent).

Hold a valid first aid & CPR qualification prior to certification.

Course Content
Knowledge development will work in conjunction with your confined water sessions where you will be shown various rescue techniques and put what you've learnt into practice under the close supervision of your Instructor. Once your skills are of a high standard we'll move to open water for a day's further training in a more realistic environment before a scenario day, demonstrating proficiency in all all you've learned so far.

Travel to and from the training locations and kit hire is also not included in the course fee but can be provided for £50 per day for your course.
What's next
Now you're a Rescue Diver you have the option of progressing to the first professional level in the recreational diving system - RAID Divemaster or Divemaster with any other recognised agency. On completion of Divemaster training you are able to then gain employment in the dive industry here in the UK and abroad and is a gateway qualification for you to progress to Instructor.
